Membership Benefits

  • May submit an abstract to the Scientific Meeting.
  • Discount registration rate for the Scientific Meeting.
  • Opportunity to sponsor a travel award recipient.
  • May vote to select officers and on any business presented digitally or in-person at the annual business meeting (excludes Junior members).
  • May be elected to serve as a member of the Eastern SPR Governance (excludes Junior members).

Membership Requirements

General Criteria

All Applicants Must:

  • Be engaged in pediatric research.
  • Be based in one of the following areas:

    United States: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia.
    Canada: New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec.
     

    ESPR primarily serves individuals within these designated geographic territories. Applicants residing outside of these territories are welcome to apply for membership; however, applications from outside the ESPR region will be reviewed and considered by ESPR leadership on a case-by-case basis.

  • Membership is granted upon

    • Approval of the ESPR Membership Committee Chair
    • Payment of annual ESPR dues

 

Faculty Membership

  • Eligibility:

    • Individuals engaged in pediatric research who meet the geographic criteria 

    Application requirement:  

    • Upload PDF of a publication demonstrating scholarly contribution. 
    • The applicant must have contributed to at least one peer-reviewed publication in a relevant scientific or clinical field. 

Allied Health Membership

  • Eligibility:

    • Non-trainee, non-physician health care professionals such as, RN, Advanced Practitioners, PharmD and Lab techs engaged in pediatric research who meet the geographic criteria 

    Application requirement:  

    • Upload Letter of Recommendation for new Allied Health members. 

Trainee Membership

  • Eligibility:

    • Any trainee engaged in pediatric research who meets the geographic criteria, Including:
      • High school students
      • College undergraduate students
      • Medical students
      • Graduate student
      • Residents
      • Fellows
  • Application requirement:

    • Upload letter of verification from a Program Director, Supervisor, or Dean.
  • Term requirement:

    • Trainee members are required to renew at the faculty membership level upon completion of their training.

Current Member Dues

Annual dues are required to maintain active membership.

Dues for Faculty Members: $150
Dues for Allied Health Members: $100
Dues for Trainee Members: $50
